Kentucky Barn & Bourbon Camp

June 7 - 9

Take advantage of your late season fitness while exploring the rolling hills and scenic landscapes that contain two of Kentucky's famous traditions, horse racing and bourbon distilling.  Our routes each day will weave through the beautiful horse country and the Kentucky bourbon trail, passing many of the areas historic distilleries.

The distinctive landscape of this area makes riding in the Bluegrass country so very special. You will ride on roads lined with limestone rock fences that are over 150 years old and have views of rolling pastures farther than the eye can see. The water that cuts through the limestone is the what makes the bourbon produced in the area, the very best in the world. Where the roads have cut through the limestone, you as a cyclist will have an opportunity to test your climbing legs. You will find the roads in excellent riding condition, lightly traveled and fun to ride with it’s undulating terrain; making it one of the more amazing places in the Midwest for a cycling adventure.

Camp participants should be comfortable riding a minimum 30 miles at a 15-20 mph pace and you should expect to see 1500-3000 feet of climbing during the rides. Riding groups will be formed that will best match participants skill and fitness levels to ensure that everyone has a great weekend of riding.

This camp will offer opportunities to keep your late season form sharp, in addition to receiving on the road instruction to better enhance your riding skills.  You can expect 4 training sessions during the camp, all rides will have coaches leading the various groups.

Treat yourself to this unique weekend away, where you will experience all that the Bluegrass state has to offer.
