Bloomington Out & Back Weekend

This year’s Out & Back will operate entirely out of Bloomington-home of Indiana University and the famous Little 500 bicycle race. We will still embrace the out and back nature for the rides each day, which offers the benefit of being able to choose any type of distance that you would like to ride on a given day. Anyone who has attended previous Bloomington camps knows that the riding in this area is awesome, infused with a cycling culture like none other and plenty of quiet country roads to enjoy your love of cycling.

Day 1

This weekend will offer multiple experiences; on Day 1 our journey will take us to Nashville in Brown County. We will ride along the shores of Lake Lemon as well as experience the roads of the Morgan/Monroe and Yellowwood State Forest areas.

Day 2

We will travel 20 miles south to start our day from Springville and then head towards French Lick. There will be multiple distances available with the longest around 65 miles with an amazing 6000 feet of climbing coming from the rhythmic up & down terrain only southern Indiana can provide.

Day 3

We’ll top the weekend off in fine fashion by experiencing a route cutting through the very distinctive terrain of the Quarry’s in the area that were responsible for giving Indiana University it’s unique look. Consider extending your stay one more day in Bloomington and enjoy the relaxed feeling of a college town on break.
