The Mountains are Calling

Breakaway from the ordinary this summer and come experience a cyclists dream in Asheville. You will enjoy new challenges and the sense of accomplishment that come from stretching your limits, all the while cultivating your cycling skills.  Every curve in the road is a new adventure. You can’t fully anticipate what this camp has to offer until you are actually doing it. This camp is right for you if you are tired of riding the same roads, want to challenge your fitness and aspire to become a better cyclist.

If you want to become a stronger climber, Asheville is the perfect playground and have fun while doing it. You will find all types of climbs, from the long gradual roads typical of the Blue Ridge Parkway to the popular 5 mile effort up Elk Mountain with it’s ever changing gradients while the road snakes up to the top. As the saying goes “What goes up must come down”, you will also have plenty of excellent opportunities to enhance your descending skills and learn the proper techniques that will allow you to feel more comfortable going downhill.

West Asheville offers rolling hills more like the roads of northern Michigan or southern Indiana, which we will also explore. When our legs need a little breather from all of the climbing we’ll venture along the French Broad river as it winds itself towards the quaint mountain town of Marshall and enjoy the “flats”.

This camp is designed to create a most memorable cycling experience, but then also to give you plenty of downtime to enjoy the "cycling afterglow" relaxing around the pool, engaging in other outdoor activities, heading downtown to go shopping, or treating the body right at the resort spa.

You'll also want to make time to explore the downtown scene and it's eclectic vibe mixed with Southern style and elegance. This is a vacation where you are doing something you love and your enjoyment will flow over into every other aspect of the experience.
