Travel to southern Indiana this April…and take in a weekend full of amazing riding, relaxing at a wonderful rustic country lodge and a chance to experience a one of a kind cycling race made famous by the movie “Breaking Away”. If you love cycling and you’re a fan of it, you have to see this spectacle at least once in your lifetime.

The moment you start riding the roads of southern Indiana you will quickly realize why the Little 500 riders are so strong…they have an excellent training ground to help them get super fit. The local terrain gives you the feel of being in the foothills of a mountain town where gradients routinely range from 4-16% are not unusual.

Springtime in this part of Indiana is full of color from the blossoming redbud and dogwood trees to the wildflowers scattered throughout the countryside. You will enjoy all of the splendor of Spring as you ride through the picturesque countryside outside of Bloomington.

Camp will kickoff with a full day of riding, offering both morning and afternoon sessions. Endurance building rides will be most valuable after a long winter of riding indoors. The morning will provide an opportunity to stretch out those legs on one of the classic Bloomington routes and then after a shorter ride in the afternoon we’ll find ourselves at the track to catch the finale of the Women’s Little 5 race.

Saturday morning we’ll ride some of those famous roads seen in “Breaking Away” and then take in the actual Men’s Little 500 first hand. Following the race we’ll immerse ourselves in the energy of this special event and enjoy dinner in downtown Bloomington.

Before we depart on Sunday we’ll take advantage once more of the wonderful playground the roads surrounding Bloomington offer any cycling enthusiast.
